高适是唐代的边塞诗人，与岑参齐名。高适科举不中后，投往边塞效力。他的边塞诗，苍茫而不凄凉，赋送别，荒渺而不凄切，皆脱前人窠臼，开一代诗风，在荒凉之中蕴涵着活力，是边塞诗派发展进程中的一个重要里程碑。
