甚么时候再能有
那一片静；
溶溶在春风中立着，
面对着山，面对着小河流？
甚么时候还能那样
满掬着希望；
披拂新绿，耳语似的诗思，
登上城楼，更听那一声钟响？
甚么时候，又甚么时候，心
才真能懂得
这时间的距离；山河的年岁；
昨天的静，钟声
昨天的人
怎样又在今天里划下一道影！

In the face of hills, in the face of streams?
When will there arise
The same hope again,
Bearing the light green, like the poetic whisper,
Up to the gate tower, listening to the sound of bell?
And when, when will the heart
Understand truly
The distance of time, the age of mountains and rivers
The tranquility, the chimes of yesterday,
The persons of yesterday,
How do they leave their shadows today!
